As any discerning darts player knows, not all dartboards are created equally. There are a number of features that affect the play of the game including:
It's not wonder that everyone has their preferred brand!
The interesting thing about dartboards is they can range in price from a few bucks, to almost $100. With that wide of a variety of prices, we can imagine that quality and features will range widely as well.
So, we've tried to include a little bit for everyone here.
The first one up is the unicorn eclipse pro dart board. Overall, it appears to be the best quality/price combination, where it is high quality but also a reasonable price.
One of the most important features is its championship quality bristle board. Low quality bristle will lead to more bounce outs and also a shorter lifespan. Having great quality is important.
The next biggest feature is it's unique completely staple-free construction. Many boards are advertised as having a staple free bulls eye to help with bounce outs, but few advertise an entirely staple free design.
Additionally, the wiring is thinner and stronger than other boards, meaning there is more area to receive the dart.
This is not the best board out there, but it's relatively low price makes up for the fact that it isn't.
Wow, now this is the king of boards. It's hard to pick a place to start.
First of all, you can tell by the price that you will be getting something exceptional. You truly are paying for what you get.
At this price point, there is little competition, as most other boards are quite a bit cheaper than this. So, let's take a look at the features!
Its biggest feature is the fact that the board is dual core. Essentially, there are two layers of bristle for the dart to penetrate.
The outer core has lower surface tension so the dart can penetrate easily, meaning you score more hits and have less bounce outs.
The inner core has higher compression which increases resistance and increases the durability of the board.
By putting these together, it is the most advanced bristle system of any dart board we review.
Additionally, the wiring system is far thinner than most other boards, giving an extra 9mm of area per double and 6mm in the triple. They can do this because their wiring is thinner and stronger than others.
There are actually too many features to mention here, so go check out the rest of the review.
This is a solid but low-price option. If you are looking for something that is good quality but at a very affordable price, this is the dartboard for you.
Though the rest of the dartboard has staples, as you can see in the image, The bullseye is staple free.
The spider wiring system is rounded with the intended purposes of allowing the dart to slide and enter the fiber. Utilizes thin, rounded galvanized wires that allow darts to slide off the spider and land in the target area
